Grant to support accessible English literacy classes and programs
BONITA SPRINGS, Fla. (April 23, 2026) — The CopperLeaf Charitable Foundation (CCF) granted Literacy Council Gulf Coast (LCGC) $7,000 on April 20.
The granted funds will directly support the Bonita Springs-based organization’s mission to provide English literacy education to the Southwest Florida community through programs such as free Adult Education classes, Work-Site Literacy and Moms & Tots Family Literacy. As part of the nonprofit’s mission, they empower students by enhancing English literacy skills and comprehension. The check was presented to LCGC by CCF board members Bill Starr and Barb Brown.
“We are so incredibly grateful for the CopperLeaf Charitable Foundation’s continued support,” said Dr. Leah Mason, executive director of LCGC. “Through this support, we are granted the opportunity to continue our mission of empowering our community through accessible English literacy education.”
Since CCF’s establishment in 2004, the foundation has donated over $2 million to local charities through grants, special events, sponsorships and more.
