The Literacy Council Gulf Coast is proud to announce a community-wide celebration of National Family Literacy Day on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at our Bonita Springs location. This annual observance highlights the vital role that family engagement plays in developing strong literacy skills and fostering lifelong learning.

Location: Literacy Council Gulf Coast, 26820 Old 41 Rd., Bonita Springs, FL 34135 Time: 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Theme: One Community, One Story

This free, family-friendly event is designed to inspire a love of reading while strengthening community connections. Families will enjoy a day filled with:

  • Food and Refreshments – Enjoy a variety of offerings from a food truck sponsored by Jessie Jay’s Off The Bone BBQ
  • Family-Friendly Activities – Engage in games, interactive experiences, and fun giveaways designed to promote literacy and community connection.
  • Community Collaboration – Connect with local organizations dedicated to supporting education, wellness, and family development, including Café of Life, New Horizons of Southwest Florida, Blessings in a Backpack, Kids Minds Matter, The Salvation Army, Bonita Springs Assistance Office, and others.

National Family Literacy Day serves as an important reminder that reading together as a family strengthens both literacy skills and family bonds. This year’s theme, One Community, One Story, underscores the shared responsibility we have in creating a community where every individual has access to the tools and resources needed to succeed.

We invite you to join us on November 1 to celebrate the power of reading, the strength of community, and the joy of storytelling. Together, we can continue building brighter futures—one story at a time.
