    The Literacy Council Gulf Coast invites families, friends, and neighbors to come together for a day of fun, learning, and community connection at the National Family Literacy Day Celebration on Saturday, November 1, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at 26820 Old 41 Rd., Bonita Springs, FL. This year’s theme, “One Community, One Story,” highlights the power of stories to connect generations, strengthen families, and build brighter futures. The event will feature food, games, giveaways, and community resources—all in one place. Guests are also invited to enjoy the excitement of the Bike Rodeo, where participating students must bring their student ID, bike, and safety gear.

  • Meals of Hope Baby Food Pantry Grand Opening

    Meals of Hope will supply baby formula, baby cereal, baby food (stages 1–3), fresh produce, dry goods, and diapers when available. This pantry is only for families with babies and children up to 5 years old who participate in our programs.

  • Moms & Tots

    Moms & Tots is a free literacy program for mothers and their preschool-aged children (ages 3-5). In the program, Moms improve their English and literacy skills in small-group classes while their children build early learning foundations in a nurturing classroom nearby. Through guided activities and interactive learning, little ones build early language skills, practice letters and numbers, and grow their confidence to prepare them for kindergarten.

    The 1st Annual Golf Tournament is a signature fundraising event, bringing together community members, partners, and supporters for a day of fun and purpose. This year, our goal is to raise $75,000 to directly support our programs and services. Every dollar raised will go back into our organization, helping us expand literacy initiatives, provide essential resources, and empower individuals and families in our community.     TEE UP FOR LITERACY – GOLF TOURNAMENT Saturday, May 9th, 2026 11:00am – Registration and Lunch 1:00pm – Shotgun Start The tournament will be a two-day event starting with a dinner on Friday, May 8th and lunch and golf on Saturday, May 9th, 2026, at the Club at Twin Eagles where you can enjoy the most breathtaking courses in Naples. The Club’s Talon and Eagle courses take center stage amidst sparkling lakes, rolling verdant fairways, and palm-tree lined paths harmonizing sport with nature. Artful bunkering, undulating putting surfaces, and competitive playing angles combine to create a world-class golf experience that remains unmatched in Southwest Florida.
